Home again...

Our beach trip was fantastic! James and I went with my family, the Wards, and the Clapps (plus a few extra tagalongs!). We had such a good time, but as always, we were ready to come by the end of the week! We had great weather while we there. It did rain one day and one evening, but it gave us a good excuse to sit around inside and relax, so I won't complain! Nothing big really happened while we were there. For the most part, it was just a restful week for all of us! Fortunately, Lee Anne didn't go into labor while we were there so Kellie got to stay with us all week! James and Chad played golf with my dad and Todd twice at the beach. They had a lot of fun, and I enjoyed having those days to myself! But leave it to James to break all the rules of golfing...he definitely drove his golf cart up on the green AND hit Todd in the ankle with his ball. Only James... They all thought it was hysterical though! Here are some pictures of the trip...I'll try to post some more later.

This week is turning out to be just as crazy as I imagined it would be! I've been at VBS the past 2 nights and enjoyed every minute of it! I'm in with the bed babies, so I've just taken care of Baby Tripp both nights. Don't get me wrong, all the kids are adorable, but Tripp is extra sweet. He's my favorite baby boy :) While I've been at VBS, James has been at home packing stuff up (and doing a fabulous job!). I'm so grateful to have a husband like him who is willing to take care of things at home like packing while I'm off holding babies! It seems like we still have a ton of packing to do. Stuff keeps appearing out of no where! We bought paint on Saturday. That was such a hard decision to make! It was fun though. We're painting 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, the laundry room, and the front door. Fortunately, the living room and kitchen colors fit nicely with all of our decor! We are so excited about finally getting into our own house! It feels like everything in life is falling into place for us right now. God is blessing us beyond anything we could have imagined. We are truly grateful for all that we have, especially our families. Hopefully the rest of the week will go smoothly, between me starting the new job, closing on the house, and moving! This is an exciting time in our lives!

So many changes...

So, we bought a house and we're completely excited about being homeowners! We close on our house on June 26, which also happens to be mom's birthday (Happy Birthday, Mom!!)! We just need to do a little bit of painting. Other than that, it's ready for us to move in! It has been a really great experience (for the most part anyways...). Did I mention it is literally like 30 seconds from my parents' house? How convenient! The people that we're purchasing the house from are so sweet, and it turns out that they know James's family. Small world, right? They have the cutest little blonde haired girl named Lexie. I was hoping she would come with the house...no such luck. Anyways, we've been trying to pack up as much as we can this week since we'll be on vacation next week and I am working with the babies at VBS the week that we move! I officially decided that I HATE the moving process!! It was so much easier when we just had all new stuff and brought it in a little bit at a time! We have stuff everywhere right now! It's a disaster, really. We just can't wait to get in that new house!

On top of moving and VBS that week...I'm starting a new job! FINALLY... I feel like a giant weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. The whole job search was just so stressful. I was so blessed to have a boss that was nice enough to let me stay employed until I found a permanent position. I am going to miss the girls that I work with like crazy. They mean so much to me and I feel so close to them, even in the short year that we've worked together. They have been so great to me; they took care of me and made sure no one messed with me! Anyways, my new job is with Native Design and Restoration Landscaping. I'm not really sure what my title is. Something like HR Generalist/Office Manager. I guess I'll find out when I start! I'm the only one in the office, so I'll pretty much be doing a little bit of everything! The guy that owns the company is married to a girl that used to work for my mom, and her mom used to be my mom's boss! I'm super excited about it.
Well, we're heading to the beach tonight with my family so I'll be sure to post some pictures and fun details when we get home! Actually, it'll probably not be til after we get moved in. This is my first blog...it's been fun! I think I'm going to enjoy this!
